Wood Pellet Stove | Fuel and Installation - Wood Pellet Stoves Stockport UK

Everyone enjoys the warmth of a crackling log fire in winter and as gas, oil and electricity prices rise many people in the UK are turning to solid fuel burning stoves including Wood Pellet Stoves to heat their homes. Artel Pellet Stove

We currently stock the range of Artel pellet stoves

These modern stoves use sophisticated clean burn methods and can be installed in houses that do not allow traditional open fires and are a much more efficient way to heat a room.

You can have wonderful naturally warm rooms using Wood Pellet Fuel with the ultimate in modern stove technology the Wood Pellet Stove.

Wood Pellet Stoves efficiently, conveniently and cheaply convert biomass in the form of Wood Pellet Fuel to heat while giving off almost no wood smoke, helping to protect the environment.

Pellet Stove Installation is not expensive and the Pellet Stoves are cheap to run. The wood pellet fuel they burn is a renewable, clean burning biomass fuel made from recycled wood waste or sawdust. wood pellets for pellet stoves

The use of biomass fuel is a 'carbon neutral' process. The carbon dioxide released by burning is balanced by that absorbed by the tree during its growth.

The ash from the Wood Pellet Fuel which is rich in minerals can be recycled to fertilise forests, parks or gardens. The wood pellets are fed into the pellet stove as needed and the stove temperature is set by microprocessors controlling of the feed rate of the pellets.

Modern Wood Pellet Stoves are now stylish home furnishings with contemporary portrait styling, large glass windows and ceramic cladding in attractive colours. Pellet stoves also have remote controls for electronic ignition and temperature control making them safe, attractive and easy to use.

The installation costs are generally lower than for a typical wood or coal stove,

These stoves are ideally suited to domestic properties .
A small stove easily heating typical sized rooms, say 4m x 4m
Medium sized stoves will heat larger spaces, like knocked through kitchen/living areas.

The larger models will heat spaces of 140 cubic metres or more. We also sell a "Ducted " version of these large stoves which can distribute hot air via ducts to two rooms other than the one the stove is sited in.

Because all the stoves can be set with an automatic timer like central heating, it is simple to use a pellet stove instead of an existing central heater.

For example, if you use only the kitchen / diner area of your home in the mornings, just heat this area with a pellet stove and do not use the existing central heating at that time.

You will save money. An average small pellet stove will run for about a year on one tonne of pellets, current cost about £300. The total gas bill for a typical 3 bedroom house can easily be cut in half if you are using a pellet stove on a timer .

To be aware of;

Wood pellets are generally better bought ready bagged, most companies supply 10 or 15kg wt bags, which are a managable size.

Pellets bought in a Tonne bag need to be kept in a very dry area, as the pellets have a low moisture content and will absorb moisture from the open air.

All wood pellets will need to be kept indoors, or in a dry shed.
A tonne of bagged wood pellets will need about two cubic meters of space.

All wood pellet stoves will require some regular cleaning. This generally only takes a couple of minutes a day, but needs to be done to keep them running well. This is in addition to filling the hopper with pellets, which would normally need to be done not more than once each day.
